84 SVO Fox Body Mustang Show Car review
"This is a completely restored and modified 84 SVO. This car has won a number of car shows and recently won Best in Show Fox body Mustang at the Steamboat RMMR (June 2019). It's a clear winner!"
Interior

5.0

Modified interior, including paint, carpet, instrument panel and seating. Also a back halved cage to aid in stiffening the frame and suspension.
Exterior

5.0

Complete glass out body repaint to Rosso Corsa (Italian racing red). Body panels are all gapped, fiberglass hood. Beautiful and in excellent condition.
Performance

5.0

Custom built 2.5L motor, Garrett T3 Turbo with 320 RWHP, WC T5 gearbox, 8.8" Ford with Torsen T2 limited slip, and 4.10 gearing.

This is a 2 seater SVO; no rear seat.

Not very; all custom build over a 5 year period. Over $60K invested plus about 2000 man hours in the tear down and reassembly to become a great performer and awesome show car.

Great Car
"I modified this car by adding struts, full structure under frame, Baer Front Brakes, Saleen Blower kit. Lowered, and added large rear spoiler. Also added Gage kit. It makes 460 Hp to the rear wheels."

Great car
"I bought this car new so it is 19 year old car. Aside from general maintenance it has been a real trooper. One of the best cars I've owned. I only knocked a star off because it doesn't have IRS like the Cobras do."

Fun car
"A fun car to drive and it has good safety ratings - important for my teenager's first car. Repair parts are readily available and reasonably priced."
Interior

4.0

Seat belts don't retract easily, which is common on an older car, but the straps also get tangled in the shoulder guides sometimes. Two door cars are harder to get in and out of the back, but the rear seat is larger and more comfy than expected.
Exterior

5.0

Excellent. I like the styling of the early 2000 vintage models.
Performance

5.0

Has good acceleration and handling. Fun to drive.
Family

5.0

Dual air bags and ABS are standard, and it gets good crash safety ratings.
Cost

5.0

There are a lot of Mustangs on the road so the purchase price of the early 2000 cars is very reasonable. Gas mileage is fair. Replacement parts are readily available at auto part stores and are reasonably priced.

"Great car use it for leisure. A little rough on gas but the car is for fun not a everyday driver. I wouldn't buy it for the winter months!"

"9,400 miles 2000 Cobra R, #216 of only 300 built! Was my dream car, now I'm living it."

by DCLINE on February 3, 2015

"This was a great find. The 2000 Mustang Convertible appears to have been garaged most of it life and only had 35,000 miles on it. The convertible top was original but look brand new and the leather seats were in prefect condition. I always have cars checked out by my trusted mechanic before buying even when the CarFax looks good and this Mustang checked out fine."

"I purchased this 2000 Mustang GT for a summer car. Nice used car so far, only on the road for 2 months, then had to go into storage for the winter season."
