Still going strong
"The Ford Ranger was built to last a long time. I have had very little maintenance problems with my truck. I wish Ford had continued to make this model instead of discontinuing it after 2000. This is a very dependable vehicle. Has almost all original paint and parts. "

Still looks brand new. Only piece that has been replaced is the latch for the center console. I have installed seat covers but underneath is the original cloth bucket seats still in very good condition.

Paint still sparkles. Cosmic Blue paint job. Original paint. Love the color.

Excellent. Extremely reliable engine.

Small in size for a large family. Sits 2 adults comfortably. Two jump seats in the back for small kids. Works fine for me, but for a larger family, a bigger back seating area should be considered. I have the 2000 Ford Ranger XLT, 2 wheel drive, 3.0 liter engine, flex drive, 6 cylinder, automatic transmission.

Good fuel mileage. I just passed 180,000 miles. No car payments for 17 years. Low insurance.

Ranger keeps trucking
"Its a 1999. Bought new. 278000 miles. 3.0 v6 5 speed manual. Waiting to wear It out before getting a new one. May not have enough time as i am getting Old. $3000 would buy it if anyone needs A good truck. Mobil 1 oil used in it. It is a supercab with camper shell that does Not leak in the rain. Never wrecked. In the last 10,000 miles it needed new Rear brakes and windshield wipers. And Of course an oil change."

"The truck is amazing for being 20 years old in 2019 runs like a champ I have put quite a bit of money in to it but once I did then they truck starts up every morning no matter how cold and never stranded me or failed and the ranger is a very very capable mini truck "

This is where it fails with the small back seat the only good for little kids but with the seats down not a lot of room

I got the truck for 300$ with 130k on it I have put 12k on it and put some money in for maintenance but 30$ to fill from empty and getting 300miles on a tank way cheaper then my f150

Good old truck
"This truck starts and runs on command, has no vices and is easy to operate and dependable. I have had it since 2010 and only had a small vacuum leak that was easily repaired. I use it mostly for going to the golf course and it rests well in the winter. Doesn't leak oil, is good on gas and is a comfort to drive. I had a cruise control device installed and this makes it practically automatic. First Ford I ever owned and it certainly has been good so far."

"I love my ranger and is my 2nd one. My 2000 was the first one I have worked for and was purchased from the original owner. I like that it has the room for everything I will be using it for. "

"Great little truck but lacks power on the highway. Being an older truck is also doesn't get as good of fuel mileage. Overall a great starter vehicle for a new driver because you don't have to worry about them speeding and they are well protected."
