Reliable Used SUV
"I am amazed at the build quality of these vehicles. They are just made to last. I am very pleased with the relatively low miles and the condition of an almost 20yr old vehicle. It drives very well and should last decades to come. "
It doesn’t have the touch screen or other interfaces (refer to almost 20yr old) but everything works and is easy to use. That will also mean less electrical problems over time.
Being as old as it is, it looks really good. The southern sun has impacted the shine a touch but some frequent waxing and care should make this a nonissue.
The 4.7 v8 is an amazing engine. It fits right in with many of the bigger engines today. It has plenty of low end torture but isn’t a speed queen (you should be looking at a 5.5k lbs sub if you are into that). It isn’t going to win any gas mileage awards but it is only 10% less efficient than my 2010 Honda Pilot and has 30% more torque. Also doesn’t get impacted by highway winds like my Pilot.
Great 3 row suv with 3 rows of air and plenty of leg room.
It will cost a little more at the pump but reliability will be stellar over time. This was Toyota’s pinnacle example of engineering and quality and it shows.
"This vehicle is practically maintenance free. At 160,000 miles we have had no major repairs. With regular oil changes and washes it still runs and looks like new. There are features that were ahead of its time for a 18 year old vehicle. Love driving my car."
Reliable and responsive
Third row seating
Takes premium gas but is good in gas on the highway for a vehicle its size.
"I have owned 3 Landcruisers. This is because of build quality, and longevity. 200,000 miles plus is only half used. When service records are available, and completed, it is a tank looking for love! Gas mileage is poor, but your driving a real truck, go anywhere, safe for children hauler as well."
All leather, appointments are refined.
Paint lasts well for all types of weather, and good protection for wheel wells against all weather driving.
Drive train built to last and perform in all types of driving conditions. With proper, timely maintenance, this is a 25-30 year vehicle, from ground up.
Plenty of room for 7 . Access to 3rd row seats is doable but not particularly easy. Great visual access from all seats. Heavy built vehicle which improves safety for all passengers.
Mileage could be better, but it is a truck after all. High priced new, but used, very reasonable, because of quality in older vehicles is still there.
