2001 SVT Cobra
"The car is fun to drive with plenty of power. If you are looking for something that sounds great and has plenty of get up, then this is a great car. "
Interior

5.0

Clean lines and overall just simple, not too little and not to much. Seats look great and are comfortable.
Exterior

5.0

Typical mustang with the nice cobra bumper.
Performance

5.0

Stock they have around 320HP. For a car that is now 18 years old it still is fast and it handles pretty well to be a rear wheel drive sports car.

Mustangs aren’t really the “go to” family car anyway. I only rated one star due to the fact that this isn’t really meant to be a family car. You can fit small children in the back, but no adult or grown teen would ever want to ride back there for longer than 5 minutes.
Cost

3.0

Three stars due to the fact that yet again these cars were built for one thing and one thing only and that is speed/acceleration. They require premium fuel, so with that said if you are wanting 30+ MPG or cheap fuel then mustangs (especially the cobra) is not for you.

2001 Mustang
"This car seems to have less overall computerization than others I have owned therefore making it more of a candidate for self-repair and maintenance. This was a goal in purchasing an automobile as a second car. It is otherwise a good performer and I have enjoyed driving it."
Interior

Well-appointed colors, fairly comfortable.
Exterior

Sort of sporty (not an initial goal), looks good.

Car NOT family friendly. Basically a 1-2 person vehicle. Front seats, appointment good for 2 persons. Rear seat very cramped, not much room for comfort. But, it IS a Mustang.
Cost

4.0

So far so good. Fuel economy is not as advertised (this one gets approximately 20mpg) but otherwise good.

STV Cobra
"2001 STV Cobra Coupe This car has been babied it whole life. Extremely well taken cars of. After Ford failed the HP test with the 1999 Cobra, they waited a year and came out with a true 320 HP Cobra in 2001. Fun to drive, tons of aftermarket upgrades, if you are into that. I like original and this car is exactly what I was looking for. "
Interior

4.0

Two tone leather seats. Simple but sporty.
Exterior

5.0

Classic Mustang. Smooth lines, just looks fast.
Performance

5.0

Hand built aluminum engine that looks like a work of art. Plenty of power.
Family

3.0

Not a good family car. Small back seats.
Cost

3.0

Cost was not a factor with this car.

"The classic pony car. I found myself quite a gem; it has the same engine as an '03 F-150 and a T3650 5 speed M transmission. Those upgrades were done post production so you have to be careful with things like that but this one checked out. The previous owner upgraded nearly everything you can upgrade. He was going for more of a drag type of Mustang but then put a 3.27 rear gear for gas mileage. It doesn't pin you to your seat which is kind of a let down since it isn't lacking torque at all. I'm sure a 3.73 rear gear will aid that ailment and I'll be much more satisfied. It's a great car and a lot of fun. You can do so much to these cars and I definitely recommend it to any gear head. "

"Really depends what body style you get if the car looks good or not, but love mine. Stick shift GT with a V8 and premium package so the body style is great. The ride is smooth. Love how it handles, but obviously turns, if taken too fast, can easily result in major traction loss. Great drive if you are aggressive when you drive, but also a great drive if you decide to drive slow as well. Gas mileage sucks, but it is definitely worth it with how fun it is to drive. The stick v8 definitely holds its own when racing. Great car to customize and tune up for sure. The side and hoods scoops aren't actually useful which sucks, but they look pretty good and are easy to customize. you can make the front one work if you want and you would have a good base set up for it. The exhaust sounds sounds amazing stock. Stock, and it still will turn heads. All the girls love mustangs too...;) ha Overall a great and fun car. Mine is at 103,000 and drives amazing. if anything at least put a k&n air filter to replace the stock one and you will notice a nice improvement."
