Not Shabby for a luxury car almost 18 yrs old!
"My Lexus is a 2001 & was purchased with over 200,000 mi on the odometer and it runs like a champ! Although it goes through a bit too much gas for me since I'm a delivery driver, normal daily driving isn't too bad. All the amenities I got at a low price (Because of its age) are what makes it though. Leather interior, power seats, 5-CD changer in the glove box along with a cassette deck & of course am/fm, thermostat-type temp control, and the coolest to me was a little leather pouch velcroed in the trunk.. a small first aid kit! Well stocked for every emergency too! And aside from an occasional noise issue that I think might be a loose muffler (that I plan to fix) the Lexus es300 drives like a dream! Nice smooth ride, enough power to pass anyone without worry or get you to work on time when you've overslept!"

The fact that they almost thought of everything! There is even a little compartment in the ceiling for my sunglasses & 3 buttons on the edge of my visor that I can program to remotely do things like open my garage door...built in!!!

It's nice. I'm not the one to ask as mine had several dents from previous owner & it is white, my least favorite car color.

"It had low miles and extensive service records. I bought it just to ride to work so I would not run up miles on my other vehicle. Quality is very good. I believe that people who buy a car like this take very good care of them."

White diamond paint looks very good. Does not look like a 15 year old car.
Interior

Very nice leather seats. Very good stereo. Quiet, very little road noise. You can even open the sun roof without a lot of noise. Other cars I have had with sunroofs made to much noise going down the road to enjoy them.
Family Friendliness

4.0

Plenty of room for 4 or 5 adults. Easy to understand controls.

Will probably cost more to service at a Lexus dealer, but it will be worth it. The dealer was able to give me full records of its service at Lexus dealer. I have only one key and the dealer told me it would cost about $400 to get another. A bit much .
Performance

Good mileage, about 26-27 MPG on the highway. Not the fastest car I have owned. It will go as fast as most people want to drive.

"I bought this car because I totaled my 2003 Honda accord. My accord had the works and I was so mad I had to look for another car. I was looking for an avalon until I seen this lexus with 86k on it. I fell in love it had everything my Honda did even a remote started and it was an 01. Yeah it's slower and a little worse on gas than my Honda but it's worth it because maintence wise this is the way to go. I made sure I got everything fixed underwarranty and it was nothing major . I took it to toyota and like 4 different mechanics to make sure I was getting my money's worth buying an older car. Oh man does this car look sexy with the hids tinted windows and quiet engine . The coach edition is the way to go. This thing can go once you floor it but that's my only issue oh and the cup holders suck but I drink bottled drinks in my car mostly so I'm good . Ashtray could be in a better place I keep missing in the dark. I love this car hope to keep for a while or get a newer lexus soon."
