Just One Person's Opinion
"I love this thing. I've had two 912's, a 911T and a 911 Targa (1977) and now this one. It's more a daily driver than a baby of mine, so I'm thrilled to have a machine like this just to run around in. I don't do rallies or track driving, just enjoy getting in it and going wherever I need to go. IMHO, for the mere mortal (which I count myself to be), a 911 of any year or type is pretty much the ultimate driving machine."

"Drives like new. Everything works well. Powerful. Great color combination in a car destined to appreciate as one of the most sought after Porsches with Mezger engine available in only limited years of Porsche production. "

Minor nicks if look closely.

Very quick and responsive. All wheel drive grips the road. No squeaks. New clutch, short shifter, and new tires.

Though only 2 stars, it makes for happy male head of household.
Cost

Getting a lot of car and performance equal to much more expensive cars. Prime candidate to appreciate because of Mezger engine, in a coupe with manual transmission.

"Perfect car, exactly as stated, perfect combination of age mileage and options. Could not be happier with the whole process. Happy there was a Carfax to confirm what the dealer was saying about the car. "

"Car is awesome, drives and handles amazingly!"

by PAUL on September 7, 2014

"Purchased it due to low price of 996 model. Excellent summer car with unprecedented steering response and feel. First modification should be LN engineering IMS bearing retrofit. Lots of info on web regarding this. After that enjoy supercharged handling."

"I bought the car because it only had 20,000 actual miles I drive it every day it is a excellent road car, inner city or interstate as well seems to be problem free but like all expensive cars things you have done are pricey so be aware and it loves fuel...but I love it."

"Like the ad, there is no substitute. Most fun you can have legally! Daily driver, reliable, super fast, comfortable, fun, fun, fun. Good gas mileage (unless you really rev it - which you should do ;) can be bought for cost of used Camry now, although will cost more to run. From 02 onwards the boxster looks complaints addressed: it's a real head turner. Only negative is I didn't buy it earlier!"
