Tahoe Z71
"This particular vehicle had very low mileage for the year. Engine runs out well, transmission shifts smoothly. Interior shows some wear as expected in a 16yr old unit. Body is straight. "

It's an SUV so mileage won't be great. Keeping your foot out of it will help.

"Great. The seats are a little small for a 6'2" man with long legs."

Amazing vehicle
"My dad got this truck new in 2003. 16 years and 241,000 miles later I’m behind the wheel now. I highly recommend this vehicle for anyone who’s in the market for a truck. The heavy frame soaks up bumps fairly well, the 4.8 L V8 has enough power to rocket you past anyone in the right lane, and even the humble LS trim level has a surprising amount of luxuries, especially for 2003. This truck hasn’t let us down, and I’m still comfortable driving it 6 hours to get out to school."
Interior

5.0

Technology and amenities were way ahead of their time. Cloth seats are extremely comfortable.
Exterior

5.0

Simple and clean exterior styling (before the rust)
Performance

5.0

A lot faster than you’d think. Nothing beats the throw-you-back-in-your-set power of the V8.
Family

Dual zone climate in the front and controllable climate in the back helps keeps the peace, and the third row and optional jump seat helps me take up to 9 people wherever we need to go.

This vehicle is extremely reliable if you try to take care of it. It’s been in the shop less than my dad’s 2012 Ford Escape and my mom’s 2003 Toyota Sienna. The biggest thing you can expect to spend money on is gas, but if you baby it and use your momentum, even that can be cut back.

Love It
"I love my Tahoe. It’s an older model with vhs player, cd & cassette stereo. No fancy “internet” tracking or blue tooth. 3rd row seats, seats 9. "
Interior

4.0

Just above good, not excellent but no holes or over worn.
Exterior

4.0

Minor wear & few dings (possibly by debris). Paint intact no fading or oxidation.
Performance

4.0

I’ve kept this vehicle up to date. Oil changes every 3 months or 3K miles. Once a year through check via my mechanic.
Family

4.0

Having the ability to remove 3rd row & 2nd row folds down makes it easy to do “Warehouse or Landscaping” hauling.
Cost

4.0

Overall to keep vehicle in top shape yearly costs around $1K. (Basic vehicle maintenance). Not all at once but we’ll worth not having to make payments on new vehicle.

Mostly good news
"Bought a 2003 Tahoe for a second car and to use for hauling stuff. So far mostly okay, there's a couple of nuances like you have to turn the traction control off so it doesn't have acceleration problems. Truck is surprisingly clean for 15 years old and it rides and drives good, it has a 160k miles and I paid $4500."

Luv our Tahoe
"This is just the vehicle we have been wanting. Perfect for transporting our 3 large dogs in comfort. We did a lot of research on it before we decided to buy. Helped that it is 1 owner with service records. Negotiated a fair deal with the value guidance of Car Fax. "

"CARFAX gave me confidence to help my daughter swap for a very clean 2003 Tahoe 2WD (Soccer mom vehicle). I saw that it had been purchased locally and virtually all the miles had been racked up by first owner whom maintained car. Also allowed me to show the other person the clean history on my daughter's Honda Accord."

"Pros. American Made Plenty of power, looks great, lots of room for people. Cons. interior components are cheap such as radio knobs the color wears off with use. The paint on the roof has its clear coat flaking off. Id buy it again it is a good value gm just needs to step up on interior quality"
