Very good SUV, BUT
"This Tahoe is a great car in many ways and I expect to get over 200k on the car, BUT the brakes line rust in areas that salt roads ($1100ish to repair), the instrument panel fails so true mileage in car won't be right if replaced, auto-4WD shifter is typical repair, and so it gas fuel pump. So I do recommend, but from my 2002 only had brake line issues. I would still recommend 2005, but these repairs are annoying."

Excellent Z71 ride
"With over 160,000 miles on it when I bought it I expected some repairs over this last year that I owned the Tahoe. Some unexpected repairs and some preventative repairs. Overall I'd recommend a Tahoe Z71 to anyone who wants a great "ride" with plenty of room! "

Very comfortable seats especially on long rides. Plenty of room for 7 people(way back seats). Easy to get to the 3rd seat.
Exterior

Like new exterior. No rust.

Extremely easy to get in and out especially with the running boards. Rear hatch is very accessible-easy to load and unload. When the hatch is open in bad weather it makes like an umbrella to keep you dry or out of the sun when we have an tailgate party!

Cost effective is an individual thing. I love it because of easy handling, great ride on trips, plenty of room, its size /full frame is protective in a crash, etc.

Sturdy and comfortable
"Bought my Tahoe just before moving out west to Colorado, and it might've been the best decision I've made in years. It took the drive from Florida in stride, got me up into the mountains in sunny and snowy weather, plowed through icy streets, all in comfort and warmth. "

It's a little bit of a gasoline hog. The electronic listing is 15.3 miles per gallon.

2005 Chevrolet Tahoe LT
"Wonderful driving vehicle. Super comfortable. LT model has tons of bells and whistles for the year. Well equipped and incredibly easy to drive. Turns so easily for the size of the SUV. Good driver vision as well with limited blind spots. "

"It was purchased as an extra family vehicle that had more room to travel. I have a 4 door Honda Accord that I love but the Tahoe really had a different feel to it. It drives wonderful and handles excellent in bad weather. I feel safe putting my little one in the back seat for long road trips "
Exterior

Black looks the best in this particular vehicle bit is hard to keep clean
Interior

Leather interior with heated front seats.. Kinda wish it had a back up camera but that could probably be added if I just had to have it
Family Friendliness

Love the extra room and drop down DVD player. With the captains chairs in the second row putting in a car seat is super easy.. Surprisingly more easily done than in my everyday Honda Accord. I feel much safer in the Tahoe

"So far, I've been very happy with my Tahoe. We've pulled our RV with it, and it handled it well. So far, I haven't taken any long trips with it, but it is great around the city!"
