Great little SUV
"I got this car at 13 years of use and it still feels new. As expected I have had to replace parts and fluids but servicing myself has been very easy and straight forward. I was even able to add Bluetooth to the original stereo by connecting an after market electronic to the CD changer. The shape and size of the car are ideal for both my work and play needs. "

I have the 4 cylinder model and it still has plenty of power and gets about 21 mpg.

Love it, Won't leave it
"This car has served me so well, I haven't been able to find an adequate replacement. I go on test drives, they are too big, too small, don't ride well, etcd. I say maybe next year, and keep changing the oil, fix the brakes when needed and byuy tires occasionally. Oh, I also wash it regularly because it looks so nice when the sun hits it when fresh and clean. Like new!!!"

I admit to a couple of rust spots, but my repair shop friend tells me not to bother fixing them, even when I beg.

Quality Vehicle
"This is a well designed vehicle, it's easy to drive, and the spaces for storage were well thought out. I like the radio controls on the steering wheel, the cruise control is easy to use, and the instrument panel gauges and warning lights give you all the information you need."
Interior

5.0

Easy to get in and out of, long wearing fabric used for the upholstery, electric driver's seat is adjustable in any direction: up, down, forward, back, tilt. rear seats are adjustable as well, and easy to fold down for more cargo room.

Toyota has put on a really quality paint and finish on this Highlander. It's twelve years old and still shines and feels like new.

The V6 in this car is very well balanced for the weight of the vehicle, it gives good gas mileage, but has plenty of power when you need it.

We can seat five people comfortably with lots of leg room for all, and still have plenty of room in the back for groceries or shopping bags.

I haven't checked nation wide but in Florida, where I reside, the Toyota Highlander is a very popular vehicle, so the prices are a bit higher than average, but they are worth it. I have owned two other Toyota SUV's and it's my experience that with routine maintenance they will give you 300,000 trouble-free miles.

Highlander is Solid
"Great car to drive. It is reliable, smooth and roomy. Drawbacks are the poor MPG and fairly blah exterior design. My family feels very comfortable in this vehicle and there is plenty of room in both the front and back of the car. It handles and accelerates very well and the boring exterior actually provides for great vision from inside the car to see around you when you drive."

Low MPG makes the car expensive to drive in terms of gas but the reliability factor is very good.

"Great car. Runs well. Drives well. There are minor problems with the operation of the power windows. We bought the Limited Edition with the V6 engine. It has a third row seat. The leg room on the third row seat is limited, so it would be best to use it for children. It would be a tight fit for a full grown adult. Other than that, we love it. Would not hesitate to buy another one."
