Love my Tundra
"I purchased this Tundra used about a year ago for just over $10k it had a little over 140k. I love it, we've had no mechanical issues what so ever, runs great, no rust, ac fast and cold. It's the perfect size too, it's about as big as a new Tacoma but cost way less. "
Interior

Exterior

Only has one dent in the rear bumper and paint on hood & roof has worn off and needs to be repainted other then that the body is in great shape. No rust

We have fit 4 adults in this truck but is tight in the back seat, I believe younger kids would have no issues.

The only issue I have is the gas mileage, we get maybe 15/mpg but it's an older truck so we expected this.

Love Tundra
"Keep up with scheduled maintenance, find a responsive and knowledgable mechanic willing to do good work . Replace sensors, fluids, clean engine with SEAFOAM , change pvc valve, hoses, sparkplugs, brakes, battery, transmission & differential fluid as recommended and you will keep it running. Service bearings, ujoints, grease moving parts drive train and will run smooth. Toyota is built to last if you deal with known issues like engine sludge /seal leaks before they get out of control. If you have good mechanic save the engine instead of replacing it as first option. Dealerships are limited in what they do. Independent mechanics are better option if reputable and gurantee work. "

It has been expensive getting reconditioned last 2 yrs but at 180000 miles it is to be expected. Toyota Tundra is a good reliable truck when fixed right.

NJ 2005 SR5
"Solid vehicle. Only one issue in 14 years and it was rust related. Bracket broke and messed up my power steering. Somewhat underpowered and a little uncomfortable on long drives. Other than that still running strong at 140,300 miles."

Great truck
"Very gutsy motor! I use it as a second vehicle so the gas mileage isn't quite as important. Frames on this year Tundra need to be undercoated and checked regularly"

2005 Tundra Limited
"Excellent vehicle. Almost no problems whatsoever in the 13 years I've owned it. Very little maintenance required. Fair gas mileage. Very comfortable ride reasonably quiet. Excellent features. Awesome stereo"
Interior

Very roomy comfortable seats. Lots of room in the console
Exterior

Only fair exterior styling. The shade of white is not outstanding.

Truck performance great on its own, but it is not wonderful for Towing. I wish they would have had a bigger engine for 2005.

The truck has hooks for child seats in the rear. it has lots of room on all the seats. The rear doors open wide enough to give you room to install child seats. There are only two cup holders in the rear. It has rear air conditioning vents.
Cost

The limited edition package was fairly pricey, but the truck was in high demand when we bought it.

"Carfax showed this truck had high mileage but had also had almost all the 100,000 mile clean, flush and refill fluids performed. Transmission, differential, rear end, brake system and other major updates done. Only service I had to have done was to flush and refill the Radiator system. Very pleased with this truck and with Carfax for being there with a good thorough report one the vehicle."

"Bought it to have four doors and more room in the passenger area and for more power to pull a trailer. It is very comfortable in all the seats and so far I really like it."

by DANNY on January 15, 2015

"As a homeowner, a truck is almost a necessity to haul items to and from my home. This truck has made life easier to haul items and have 4 other passengers seated comfortably in the cab. My advice when purchasing any vehicle is to do investigative work. Check the ownership history, any damages, and mileage which carfax provides but most importantly physically look over the vehicle twice over."
