There is no substitute
"Until you drive a 911 you will never realize why they have such a dedicated following. This car is 13 years old and feels like a brand new car. Regular service is a must but buy one and you will understand. Build quality, performance and unless you are a Porsche expert people will think you are driving a new 911 for the price of a new Avalon! This car can hang with anything in the road except the super cars and if you want that feeling just bolt on a supercharger! "

"Bought if for the price and reputation of Porsche. Earlier 911 had what's called is a IMS bearing failure so make sure your car doesn't fall within those years. "

"Purest sports car. The one I bought was in exceptional condition and was represented correctly. Great performance, all wheel drive, the most classic driver friendly car there is. "

"Car has stellar performance, but at a cost...both in initial outlay and ongoing maintenance. Unless you drive to the limit, you would be better off getting a base model, with a few of S options vs. shelling out for a full S. It has been a pleasure having it for the last 5 years, but now living downtown, within walking distance to everything I need, and working from home, the only use I get is going to get groceries...will be up for sale, shortly. "A joy to drive, but be ready to spend top dollar on fluids and upkeep. Example: Most cars can use coolant that costs a total of $25. A Porsche needs coolant costing $92. "

by RIZZ on February 6, 2015

"Everything, the style, the power, the handling. This is my weekend car. And the car fax give me all the history of the car so I can make the decision way easier. I will enjoy it"

by PORSCHE 911 CARRERA on January 19, 2015

"Great performance car, high quality and exhilorating to drive; meets all expectations!"

by CHAZ D on November 22, 2014

"Pros: at the time of its release, it was the premier sports car with excellent performance, handling, comforts, looks Cons: depreciation, the 911 carrera S was a thrill to drive everyday and had great reliability, but not special enough to dazzle the senses as its 911 turbo and GT3 counterparts. This is why I sold it. "
