Will this Prius last?
"Have bought two 2005 Prius' in past. Have been very happy with gas mileage and minor maintenance, except stopped using one at 265,000 miles because refurbished hybrid battery pack that replaced original battery pack at 190,000 miles stopped working and I had suspension problems. This one has 147,000 miles. Hopefully it will last!"

07 Prius review
" It is a good reliable car. Visibility is a problem because of the windshield posts. The backup camera is an excellent feature. Milage, for me, has been between 36 and 40 mpg. I have gotten up to 50mpg on road trips. After nearly ten years of ownership, some of the plastic parts are starting to deteriorate. It is very "low slung" This , plus the low center of gravity, allows very good performance on the road. There is a problem clearing parking abutments and curbs, however. It has functioned well for the 80,000 miles that I have driven it."

Excellent interior fabric. Some of the plastic panels have come loose over time.

Excellent performance, overall. The visibility problem has bothered me.

Seating is comfortable. Cargo capacity is excellent. The seating is a bit low. This is a problem for me, as an older owner. Some of the physical constraints of aging can cause entrance and egress to be a bit difficult.

The vehicle has been very cost effective, with regular maintenance.

Great Car
"We bought this car when we lived in a rural location and gasoline was about $3/gal. We used it frequently for trips to town (60 mi r/t) and it was a dream to drive plus being very reliable. Never a problem with it over eight years of ownership."

"I bought this car to replace my 21 year old Honda Civic which overheated and the head gaskets warped. I bought primarily as a car to get to work. The high gas mileage is very appealing. Even though it has a lot of miles, it was a one owner vehicle which had been well maintained. The car seems to be in good shape and runs well. I'll know in a few months whether or not it was a good purchase. "

"Enjoying the highest gas mileage of any car we ever had! The Hybrid Prius is a fun little car, with more front-seat room than our Santa Fe, and gas mileage of over 45 miles/gal on the daily commute. We have found the dash and computer display sometimes don't work, but then on restart, works fine (we have not had a mechanic check yet). As a high-mileage car, it doesn't have the pick-up of the 6 cylinders, but we are loving it. "

"The Prius was bought for my daughter. She uses it for travel to her community college, work and dance. We wanted a safe, high mpg car that had good reliability and so far the Toyota Prius has met those requirements quite well."

"Fuel efficiency is important because I commute 65 miles a day. Diesel fuel is over priced here. So far it averages 44.1 mpg. Reverse camera is a must have as rear visibility is poor. Road noise is higher then expected, and a high pitch cabin vent fan noise are my only complaints."

"I loved it. Excellent gas saver. I've drove in US from West to East and South to North without any problem."
