"I found this car on a used car lot the morning it was moved there. I had been looking at the same model on another lot for $3,000.00 more and had decided to buy. Using CARFAX and one of the NMVTIS sites, (CARFAX is not NMVTIS certified but is still a must look site and, of course before you buy a car from anyone, you should run the VIN through NMVTIS) I decided before noon to go ahead with the purchase of this car. I am not a mechanic, so having the information from CARFAX and NMVTIS was essential. The NMVTIS information on the title transfers and the CARFAX projected pricing helped me to know that I was making a great deal, saving me ~$3,000 from purchasing the same car from another lot and that the car was being offered below market value, even though the dealer was making a decent profit. Bottom line, I will never buy a car without a CARFAX and NMVTIS report. The only thing that would make CARFAX better is if they also provided NMVTIS certified reports."
