"A wonderful vehicle. rugged and with the 4.0 4x4 quite able in offroad and icy situations. its size is excellent in the bush and for getting around town. Fits great in my small town house garage.
Many trucks are bigger but the classic 09 Ranger with the SOHC 4.0 is a great vehicle.....I am happy with it."
Its surprising quality of materials, I like the rubber floor and tactile surface materials, and the simplicity. roll up windows and all. Simple and efficient
Classic Ford rangers are a proven reliable platform and it looks great
the SOHC 4.0 is a great engine, pretty peppy and have good power. I purchased mine with high Kms, so I use castrol syntec oil and only run premium fuel.
perfect for me, Its just me and my son. He loves the tiny back fold down seats....those are pretty much only good for kids and woman
Its a bare bones truck, Not terrible on gas- compared to my last vehicle- a 03 civic......its almost exactly double to operate, 40$ canadian for 1/2 a tank of premium when my old civic was 20$
The civic would get say 700-750 for 40$ the sohc 4.0 in my ranger gets about 350 -400 ish k on 80$
"Great truck, hard working, usable, Super Cab with rear doors is the way to go, acceptable gas mileage, easy to manage and fit in smaller places. Shame Ford discontinued it. Dummies !"

"Researched exactly what I wanted for a few months and this truck fit the bill exactly.
Use to commute to and from work and to haul small loads and for camping.
Ford Ranger is a great small truck. I am disappointed that they stopped manufacturing it here in the US in 2011." Read Less
