My Second 911
"My Porsche 911 is like a world class athlete. It accelerates, corners and stops precisely. Fast or really fast, I feel in control. I would not have any other sports car."
Interior

Great workmanship and comfort.
Exterior

Sporty but not over the top.

Performance is great for not being a 911S or turbo.

There is not a lot of room in the back seat but 2 small kids will fit.

The cost of maintenance is high but repairs are few. Tires can be pricey.

Porsche Carrera (911) S - 6 speed manual
"The Porsche 911 is the balance of new and old, with a driving experience that is hard to match, especially if you get a 6-speed manual. You won't be disappointed."
Interior

The 997.2 model is a great balance of technology and simplicity. The 911 provides a driving experience that is hard to match...specially the 6-speed manual.

"With this model, Porsche proved again and again its innovative spirit in a flawless design for a car that is on its fifth generation of suble but meaninful improvements. The handling is superior to any other 911 that came before and the power and stability are simply breathtaking. "
Exterior

5.0

The exterior design, while definitely 911, is remarkably more beautiful than predecessors with clean lines that enhance the awsome powertrain and gives a sense of stability.
Interior

5.0

Much better and stronger thatn the predecessors 996 and 997 series and without camparision in design and materials to the previous generations. Its infinitely adjustable seating and driving positions are a joy to set and to play with until one finds the perfect position. Great visibility on all sides with no blind spots adds tno small feat to the safety of driving this 911.
Family Friendliness

5.0

Perfect for a family of two.

A fantastic deal for the money, even if one can afford to buy it new.
Performance

Fantastic acceleration and handling. May not be the fastes car out there but it is certaily the most rewarding to drive and gives a true sense of security at any speed. One dominant factor in th9 911 is its ability to stay on track during acceleration and this model just confims

"My second 911. This is the first with PDK and absolutely loved it. Great in commute traffic and even more surprising, great for hard fun driving. The realaibility of the car has also been superb. Love the car."

"I wanted a high performance sports car. The 911 4S fits the bill in terms of performance, reliability and drivability. The 4 shell drive provides sure footed handling and the ability to drive in cold climates. My advice is to check the history of the car carefully."

"I love the everyday driveability of my 911. My only gripe is I didn't have enough money to buy the turbo!! Maintenance costs and parts are expensive, find a recommended independent shop."
