User Reviews for 2009 Subaru Legacy
by Bub on January 13, 2020
"Driver foot compartment very small and confining. Manual shifting pattern tight and not free flowing. Steering good. Cornering good. Clutch to floor start initiation poor. Interior roominess good. Needs headlight indicator light on panel. Manual transmission good for on road, poor for in town. "
"I have had the 6 cylinder boxer for 3 years and not one issue. 160,000 miles and still going strong. Rolled it in a ditch at 70mph and nothing broke (needed to replace my trunk that’s it). Strongly recommend this car to any beginner drivers."
Still very modern and quality feel
Kind of an ugly car
Decent power with the 3 liter engine. 0-60 in 6.3 seconds, 245 horsepower, 5 speed automatic with paddle shifters, and AWD.
Paid 5,000 at 125,000 miles and it was the best bargain ive ever gotten.
"The Legacy is overall a great car. Good gas mileage, easy to maintain, all wheel drive does so good in the snow. Subaru’s in that time period were great cars but seems to be a little lacking on the feeling of build quality. It doesn’t feel as solid as other vehicles. "
Style and overall quality of the interior is very clean and well put together.
Comestically appealing car. The lines are nice and looks sporty. At the same time, it looks very similar to all of the other cars manufactured during this time.
Boxer engine is good, has some issues with Valve cover and head gaskets, otherwise just the normal wear and tear. Only 170hp but more than enough power for the car.
Comfortable but is much better in the wagon option.
Overall the car is reliable, great in winter weather, and is good looking. Holds it value very well but does have some costly repairs that could happen.
