Great, fun car.
"My 2010 Porsche 911 4S Cabriolet, which I bought used ( it had 52,000 miles) is a fabulous car to drive. It has a 6-speed manual transmission which adds to the fun. I previously had a Boxster S (which I also loved) and traded up. The 911 is a major upgrade in every way — handling, riding, comforts, interior appointments, etc. When I bought the 911 I wasn’t aware that the performance tires are not recommended at temperatures below 45 degrees F regardless of the conditions. That means you need winter or all-season tires if you’re planning to drive the car in cold weather. The 911 has a throaty roar, especially when it’s in sport mode. I love the sound it makes. Cornering is a blast as is the responsiveness of the car. Very smooth acceleration. I like to wind it to about 4,500 RPM before shifting. The torque at that engine speed is stunning. However, my driving practice makes the car suck fuel at a pretty high rate — I get anywhere from 13-17 MPG, regardless of whether I’m driving in town or on the road. I frequently take my 911 out to the country and drive curvy roads. Great fun! By the way, two golf bags will fit length-wise in the back seat if you first take the drivers out."

Soft full leather interior. The heater and A/C are excellent.

The iconic body styling is a delight for the eyes. The automatic top can be raised or lowered at speeds up to about 30 mph.

This is the very best part of owning a Porsche 911 4S. Very responsive acceleration and cornering is superb. A complete blast to drive!

You wouldn’t buy a 911 as family car unless you had no more than two kids and they were under 10 years old. Plus, there’s very little storage space.

Naw, man. You don’t buy a Porsche — any Porsche — because you’re looking for it to be “cost effective.” It’s a very high-end sports car. I was told the sticker on mine was $137,000 when it was new.
