Great truck
"Rock solid vehicle. 120k miles so far with nothing but routine maintenance and a couple Toyota covered service bulletins. They stand behind their products. "

Superior Quality
"My particular model is the Platinum series, so it is fully loaded. I think of it as a Lexus with a pickup bed. The quality, fit and finish, and ease of operation is surpassed by none. I have bought Toyota since '91 and will continue to do so."

Best truck ever
"Best truck I've ever owned by far. Gobs of power, bombproof dependable. 150,000 miles and not one inkling of a problem. Holds resale value every well. Only complaint might be mileage which could be better at 15 - 16 mpg. Also, according to Forbes, this particular model was the most American made truck available that year, more than Dodge, Ford or Chevy."

Personal preference but I think it's the best looking pickup out there

Off-road ability is excellent, power and torque are unmatched. With the addition of airbags, I regularly haul a camper and pull an 18 ft boat and can still go as fast as I want over the pass.

It wasn't the least expensive but it has held it's value very well. Mileage is the only economic downside but it's not horrible. You have to pay for all that power somehow.

2011 Tundra
"This vehicle was an excellent choice recommended by the sales staff. Price was extremely fair and well worth it. This has been my third vehicle purchase from CarMax over the last few years. We will give CarMax first consideration when it comes to another vehicle."

Low Maintenance Cost
"In the 5 years I owned this truck I replaced the front brakes in year 5 and the tires at 61,000 miles. I loved the double cab's "hideaway" rear door handles AND not having to open the front door to open the back door - like you have to do with extended cabs. Working all over the state I found the seats to be extremely comfortable, the headlights providing excellent vision at night and a smooth comfortable ride guaranteed. I would have loved to have a dash indicator that my fog lights were on. The ability to turn on the fog lights without having to have the headlights on. Better gas mileage, even though my 5.7L got as good MPG as the Chevy 5.3"
Interior

The front seats were extremely comfortable for the long hall. I loved the little compartments built into the doors. Easy access & control to everything in the cab - including reach to the rear seating area.
Exterior

4.0

A fairly sharp looking truck overall. The front could use a little design. They could put the antenna in the windshield or roof mounted - who installs these old ones any more? Toyota could use a sharper looking logo as well.
Performance

5.0

Extremely smooth. Plenty of power when you need it. Maintenance cost was virtually non existent.
Family

5.0

I could seat 2 adults and 3 children comfortably. I didn't have to open the front doors to allow access or egress to the rear seats.
Cost

5.0

Aside from the gas - extremely cost effective. I can purchase a GM truck at employee pricing and I got my Tundra because it offered more than the extended cab at less cost. I got 5 years out of my front brakes and 61,000+ miles out of my tires. I never even had to put air in a single tire over the 5 years. (well, in year 5 I did get a drywall screw in my tire and I put a plug in that. I had to add air then. But that shouldn't even count.)

im happy.
"As a long time gm owner i wanted something a lil less traditional. Toyota gives u way more bang for the buck, where chevy will nickel & dime you for options like nav, sunroof & leather. The ground clearance is a sell right away. Con. I found out that u are better off going to the dealer for service. This vehicle is more suffistocated. Mom & Pop garages i found will make a simple problem worse, and costly..... Over all im pleased and will stay with this brand atleast for 1-2 buying cycles....."

"I needed a heavy enough truck to pull a trailer. I think this truck meets my needs for my farm and the price was more reasonable then the others that were available. From carfax I knew that the truck had been in an accident and I had to replace the front differential. The truck is a pleasure to drive."

"Bought this Tundra to replace a 2001 2500 HD Chevy that had only 42k miles. There is no comparing the two vehicles. Tundra hands down a better truck. This review coming from a true GM fan. "
