Amazing
"I love my car. I went from having a Tahoe and a lot of space and room(except for groceries in the back), to having a smaller SUV. But I wouldn’t change it!!! I get better gas mileage which is so important because I’m going to college. It’s so much easier and I have so much more room for things in the back. My kids have enough room the themselves, that’s including one car seat in the back seat. I’m so glad I chose this SUV! My mom and sister also had an edge and both regret getting a different car."

I love the leather and colors inside the car. The tan seats and the black and silver plus wood grain all mesh together so well! And there’s plenty of room for everything I need!!

I love the dark grey color of Munich car. I would prefer it to sit a little higher than it does but you can always have. A lift put on.

Dives extremely smooth and quiet. Easy to whip in and out of places, parking its are so much easier than with my Tahoe.

I found my car at an amzing price. Besides the usual upkeep, it’s very low cost. Even gas!!! I put like $10 in my car and get almost half a tank!!! That lasts me a while!!!

Ticking Time Bomb
"Fabulous Car! Our Edge has One hundred and thirty three thousand miles. FORD Motor Company really dropped the BALL on the 3.5 dual over cam motor. It’s a Fabulous motor that should run up to at least Three hundred thousand miles! UNFORTUNATELY FORD MOTOR COMPANY INSTALLED THE WATER PUMP INTERNALLY BEHIND THE TIMING CHAIN COVER. BASICALLY THE MOTOR IS A TICKING TIME BOMB. WHEN WATER PUMP STARTS LEAKING, IT CONTANIMATES THE MOTOR OIL AND RUINS THE ENGINE!!! JUST ANOTHER PROBLEM FORD HAS AND YET ANOTHER CLASS ACTION LAW SUUT"

WATER PUMP REPLACEMENT $1,200 IF DONE BEFORE IT STARTS LEAKING!!! OTHERWISE THE ENTIRE ENGINE SUFFERS A CATOSTROFIC FAILURE DUE TO COOLANT MIXING WITH OIL. FORD DESIGNED THE WATER PUMP TO BASICALLY ACT AS A TENSION PULLEY FOR THE TIMING CHAIN!!!!!!!! HORRIBLY TERRIBLE!!! FORD REALLY BLEW IT WITH THIS DESIGN ON THE 3.5V6 ITS A HORRIBLE DESIGN! THE WATER PUMP SHOULD HAVE NEVER BEEN INSTALLED INSIDE THE TIMING CHAIN COVER!!!!!!!

Beware of 4 cyl ecoboost
"The vehicle is mediocre at best. We've had our fair share of problems with electronic sensors. Shift to park and door ajar warnings. These are common and details can be found on internet. Evidently turbo failure is common at 80,000 miles. Ours failed at 67,000 mi. New turbo and catalytic converter ran over $3,000. A full extended warranty is a must with the 2.0 liter eco boost.. Or just get the 6 cylinder engine. "

by Ford Edge 2012 Evaluated By A New Owner Of A Used EDGE. on July 13, 2017

Over all review of a Ford EDGE 2012.
"Great overall, Needs Much Better Viewing looking down from drivers seat over the hood can't see past the windshield wipers VERY hard to judge distances from hood forward and I am 6'0. and i still cant' see have to guess many times have had to get out of the SUV and look and see where I am at before then get back in and I finish parking. Maybe this has been corrected on newer models. Also on the 2012 year that I bought the garage door opener located in the center of the interior roof was a option my vehicle has a lot of options on it should have been there? Power is above average it's a 2.0 4 cylinder with a turbocharger feels like a 6.0 cylinder gas mileage is good. very nice paint and chrome wheels. Nice amount of inside space. Easy to read dash board both day & night and well lit Dashboard easy to read Needs a turbo boost gauge Overall I would give it **** Stars. Front vision is holds it down to a 4 star rating. "

performs like a 6 cyl. After a test drive before I looked under the hood I would have guest it to have been a V6.

Of course I bought it used and past owners took great care of it. Gas mileage is great The 2 reasons I gave above The Very Big Problem is vision over the wipers is really bad I am surprised some one @ Ford did not see the problem( Maybe they just could not see it ) !!!

"The Ford Edge is perfect for me. I have had it since December 2012. Nothing has gone wrong. Just the right size for a woman. I can put the back seats down and put tons of stuff in the back. It handles really good in the winter in Michigan. Mileage is about 23 miles per gallon. Willing to deal with that because I like the car. Five star for me. Reason I bought it is because my group of advisors; family and friends that know about cars recommended it."

"All wheel drive and horse power. I use it everyday to commute and to go skiing or to the beach. Get the adaptive cruise control! It's worth every penny!"
