Excellent car
"I own the S model; I'm the original owner; car has been a joy; no issues whatsoever; great acceleration as well as gas mileage for a car with a V6 that produces 300 hp"

2016 Nissan Maxima SR
"Great car!! Absolutely love the interior, although it's a bit styled as a sporty car, so it's not offering a huge amount of interior space like some other entry level lux cars do. Its definitely a driver-oriented vehicle. Great handling and acceleration (even w/ the CVT transmission). The SR trim level has a sport tuned suspension and even on the regular mode (as opposed to the "sport mode") the ride is pretty stiff. Good for cornering and minimal body roll, but you feel the road and all its imperfections. Great sound system (Bose) and infotainment system on this trim level. Gas mileage is ok at 20ish mpg on 60-40 mix (traffic driving vs open highway). I suspect I will obtain high 20's on a highway roadtrip, but have not had the experience yet. Love this car overall!"

Upscale leather seats. Driver oriented cockpit configuration. Infotainment system. Can be a bit cramped for larger people (I am 6'4"), but probably just fine for those under 6 ft. Fine controls and knobs gives the riders a sense that this is a lux vehicle even though it's still a Nissan. Definitely styled differently than the Altimas, and thats a positive thing. I love the heated and cooled seats, especially the cooled seats. They work pretty well.
Exterior

Very aggressive and sporty looking. Front end has a nice and aggressive grille, which is accentuated even more with the front hood's shape. I lime the sharp angles on the lighting fixtures, but the combination of the front end and hood make the car look like a shark. The rear end is more subtle, but still stylish.

Great handling and engine performance. CVT does not exhibit any torque lag. Negative - Requires 91 or better octane gas and will only my get decent gas mpg when driving no traffic highway only (I classify decent mpg as upper 20's, good gas mpg would be over 30 for this type of car). The 3.5L V6 is naturally aspirated, so Theres some mpg loss for not using direct injection and no turbo charging, but at 300hp and 272 ft-lbs of torque, this car doesn't need much more power to zip in and out of traffic when needed.

Rear seating is decent enough leg room, but don't expect to fit large adults over 6'2" back there. The slope of the rear roof line prohibits rear headroom. The trunk is average-sized for a sedan, but again, is not as big as the truly entry-lux sedans in this car segment.

Great car
"So far we are very pleased with this car, great comfort and very classy looking interior. There is a small blind spot created by the A pillar and drivers side view mirror when turning to the left, but tolerable. Overall very good car "
