Best overall car you can buy
"I’ve had this Passat for 3-years. Besides being the most reliable car I’ve ever owned, it returns 27-30 MPG quite consistently. It has tons of space inside—the rear space is like a large S-Class Mercedes legroom wise. The trunk is large. It’s quick enough—actually fast on the highway. Seats are very comfortable. It could be a bit quieter, especially road noise, and the engine sometimes sounds like a tractor, but all in all small issues compared to the overall value. The upholstery, paint, and overall condition of the car holds up well—after it’s washed and waxed it looks like new. Plus, it’s built in the USA, so I’m driving American! Highly recommend Passat SE or SEL. "

Great car and gets really good gas mileage
"This is a really good car. It drives pretty smoothly down the highway and has all the acceleration I need. The car calculated gas mileage usually displays over 40 MPG on my 20 mile drive to work mostly on interstate thru town, and my manual calculations are always in the upper 30s when I fill up. Also, it has a 16 gallon tank which gives me about 600 miles between fill-ups. I'm not a fan of everything being LCDs and touchscreens, and this cars dash has actual gauges, almost everything except the radio is actual knobs and buttons. I've got about 50,000 miles and have had no problems"

I believe mine is the standard package, but there is not much it needs and like I said before I like the actual gauges, buttons, and knobs.

It looks good, there is a button to open the trunk on the trunk and you just push the gas tank door to get it to open. I don't like getting to my trunk or gas tank only to realize I have to get back in my car to pop open the door.

Drives great and great gas mileage. I do feel like there is a slight delay between pushing gas and acceleration, probably as turbo spins up

holds 2 adults in front and 3 in back with no problem along with room in trunk for at least 2 large suitcases, probably 4 if stacked, but I've never tried.

This one was a dealer loaner car before I bought it with 5,000 miles and I feel like it was a really good value.
