I LOVE MY CAR!!!
"I love this car and I think it looks better than even the 2020 version. It stands out in a crowd. It's not super expensive but I don't care where I go, people tell me how much they love my car."

2017 CAMARO RS V6 2LT Convertible
"So far this vehicle has been great. Fast, reliable and fun. It’s filled with tech and is very comfortable. "
Interior

4.0

The optional HUD is a must have. Aside from some hard plastics this interior looks and feels great from the drivers seat.
Exterior

5.0

Exterior design is gorgeous, especially with the top down. Some paint chipping but it’s got 51,000 miles on it.
Performance

5.0

This V6 rips! It’s no SS but it puts a smile on my face and makes a great noise. Handling is fantastic, turn in and balance are all very impressive.
Family

2.0

Only amputees or small children can fit in the back seat. And when the trunk cargo divider is up there’s less space than a Miata trunk. However with the divider down it’s a surprisingly spacious trunk.
Cost

3.0

Fuel economy is fairly good, but due to the amount of tech and the cost of simple things like the high performance tires, this car can be expensive.

From Gary's workshop
"This is my sixth Camaro. The first one being a 1977. Not one of them had any issues. And all but one were special ordered. I am a road guy and once one stabilized those 20" wheels the car tracks right down the interstate. It is nimble, stable and does not require constant correcting like many high performance cars require today. One negative and Chevrolet knows about this, and the only one that I can think of is the blind spots looking back on the left side. Oh, don't let that small block Chevy bother you unless you use it in town. Once in the tall gear that engine sips gasoline. Simple amazing. "
Interior

The quality and simple lines of the interior but yet, they follow the exterior lines. And gauges? They are all right in front of you and to the right for less used toggles and buttons.
Exterior

5.0

The lines flow and more importantly, they allow the air to flow under, around and over the vehicle. I maintain my own car and when changing oil I can't but take a moment to see how smooth the under body is. And earlier I mentioned the blind spot. I am sure the next Gen will take care of that.
Performance

5.0

I start driving Chevys in 1955. It was the first year for the small block Chevy. Bless it hearts, it only produced 165 hp. This current small block tops 455. There is one motor that can produce more that than but with my current driving habits, the 455 is enough. Now, talk to me about MPGs and I will tell you that with a good tank of Nascar's Sunoco I can sip 25 + mpg!
Family

3.0

It would be difficult for me to talk about this area. I am a single grandfather and my grandchildren live far away. That said I would hate to secure any of them in my back seat. The seats are there to satisfy the insurance companies.
Cost

4.0

I can talk about this. Although the SS is an expensive car it delivers a lot of dollars to me. In the day I once drove over 55000 miles per year so I was turning cars in every twelve to fifteen months. Today, it is far less so I don't have to worry about depreciation as much as those other working years. Should you want to move this conversation further, please contact me. I have lots of stories to tell. In fact, many of them are in my current book.

looks good but?
"poor visibility sides and back. the rear camera looks' under the lifted truck behind you. you may not recognize the axel as a vehicle. the front and back windows are floating on a se thin seal with a gap you can slid a key in trapping leaves, dirt, water, the elements for early on set corrosion. The upholstery fabric traps soil quickly at the seat release to enter the back. Many dust traps. the computer constantly reminds you net to not be distracted by things like the computer. then you have to clear it to view the screen annoying. the only thing in the steering wheel should be the horn and the air bag. the rest gets in the way and is something else to brake. the run flat tire issue; fifty miles YEA right!? there are cellular dead spots. and they say LAST CHANCE SURVISE STATIONS FOR A REASON. there aren't any... You have no jack you have no repair kit. It rides like my jacked up truck. Smooth pavement is smooth and ruff pavement is ruff. Plastic brakes, sun weakens and ages it. metal flake is pretty but cant match it on a redo easily on a repair. Restore is a 100% paint job. but its pretty! some colors are like that to. To much electronics not enough time and thought in the design or engineering. on a 1 to 10 scale; average 4 or 5 the longevity of older vehicles prove the better build. I prefer pre 2000. my truck is a 1998 Z71 heading towards 275 thousand miles. I expect to get 400K+ out of it. "
Interior

5.0

high maintenance. lack of analog intermits to much electronics. few and poorly placed creacher features. Some hidden controls (HUB) Emergency flasher button. Its really a 2 seater for average to small people
Exterior

4.0

corrosion prone and too much plastic depending where you live, you'll need a locking gas cap & better tires and repair equipment. Looks Good.

"No longer own car. Tires wear out to quickly and too expensive to keep replacing. Since you cannot rotate tires they wear out in stripe or uneven due to car balance on tires. If I had known this before I bought it, would not have purchased it "

Great Sports Car
"I’ve always been a fan of the Camaro, this generation is sporty and powerful from the factory. A lot of great features standard and more luxurious features available in the upper tier models. If you want a Corvette without paying the higher price tag, this is your best bet."
Interior

Minimalist design with easy to use setup.
Exterior

Back seats aren’t much use for carrying other people, unless they’re in a car seat still.

Great pricing on the base models, but higher end models with a v8 engine can get pretty pricey.
