Few manufacturers offer large, truck-like SUVs these days, but Chevrolet provides the Tahoe. This traditional SUV has a spacious interior, excellent utility and superior towing capabilities.
The 2017 Chevrolet Tahoe is a full-size SUV that can be configured to seat seven, eight or nine passengers. Both rear-wheel drive and four-wheel drive are available, and the Tahoe is sold in LS, LT and Premier trims.
For 2017, the Tahoe’s LTZ trim gets a new name: Premier. Chevy’s Teen Driver feature has been added as standard equipment, and this amenity enables you to set parameters for secondary drivers. Also, low-speed automatic braking joins the Tahoe’s list of available driver-assistive technologies.
With its massive grille and long hood, the Tahoe cuts an imposing figure on the road. This Chevy’s profile is upright and boxy, and the rear view features a giant lift gate. Base models ride on 18-inch wheels.
Standard exterior features include fixed side steps, heated power-adjustable side mirrors, roof-mounted luggage-rack side rails and daytime running lights. The list of options includes power-retractable side steps, power-folding side mirrors with integrated turn signals, a power sunroof, fog lamps, HID headlights, a handsfree rear lift gate and 20- or 22-inch wheels.
As is typically the case with full-size vehicles, the 2017 Tahoe provides roomy accommodations. A second-row 60/40-split folding bench seat is standard, and all models come with three rows of seating. There’s 15.3 cubic feet of capacity available behind the third row, and this figure swells to 51.7 cubic feet with the third row folded. With both the second and third rows folded, cargo capacity comes in at 94.7 cubic feet.
Base models are equipped with front bucket seats, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, automatic climate control, a tilt-adjustable steering column and power windows and door locks. You can upgrade your Tahoe with a power-adjustable tilt-and-telescoping steering column, a heated steering wheel, a power-folding third row, heated front seats, heated second-row seats, leather upholstery, second-row bucket seats, a 40/20/40-split front bench seat and an auto-dimming rearview mirror.
The Tahoe provides power that befits it mammoth size. All models feature a 5.3-liter V8 good for 355 horsepower and 383 pound-feet of torque, and this engine is paired with a six-speed automatic transmission. Ride quality is excellent, and this big SUV stays poised even on washboard surfaces.
Fuel economy comes in at up to 16/23 mpg city/highway, and the Tahoe can tow up to 8,600 pounds.
The 2017 Tahoe offers a generous list of standard technology features. Base models come with Bluetooth phone and streaming audio, voice recognition, Apple CarPlay/Android Auto smartphone integration, an 8-inch touch screen, five USB ports, an auxiliary input jack, HD radio, a six-speaker sound system, rear parking sensors, a rearview camera, a Teen Driver feature and a Wi-Fi hotspot with 4G LTE connectivity.
Available features include front parking sensors, rear cross-traffic alert, lane keep assist, a head-up display, adaptive cruise control, low-speed forward automatic braking, forward collision alert, a rear-seat Blu-ray/DVD entertainment system, navigation and a premium Bose stereo.

User Reviews for 2017 Chevrolet Tahoe

"Found a great vehicle at the Boyd Chevrolet Cadillac Buick Dealership in Hendersonville, NC. A 2017 Chevrolet Tahoe with only 8000+ miles on it in the most beautiful Black Cherry color! Almost perfect condition with only one very small needed fix that the dealership took care of onsite before we drove it off the lot. Have had great service from them and the Tahoe continues to be a great ride! "
In almost brand new shape! You would never think the vehicle was 3 years old by looking at the interior!
Again, great condition after the one very small fix. A few small scratches that were easily rubbed out with detailing. Beautiful vehicle!
Has that same excellent ride as our previously owned Tahoe, just better!
Its big enough for a large family and perfect for just my husband and I. Love that the third row seats fold down for my grocery runs!
Very...this vehicle adjusts gasoline savings depending on your driving.
It handles great, has heated seats, apple play with a slide up screen for storage and you can lock it to protect your personal stuff. It’s 3 rows of leather seats for the whole family to fit in. I love it and wouldn’t trade it for the world.
"It’s the greatest ever."

"A great vehicle to own and travel in, as long as no one is confined to riding in the third row. Due to the live axle, which I understand is soon to be a thing of the past for the Tahoe, one's knees are situated just in front of his/her chin, which makes for a very uncomfortable ride."
Lots of amenities, good seats, great HVAC and audio, fantastic luggage capacity with seats down. Unusable third row seating.
Beauty, always a matter of opinion, is one of this vehicle's strong points. Classic looks.
Performance is on par for a pushrod V8. Older, but tried-and-true technology that is capable of many trouble-free miles. Decent handling, even on moderately curvy roads.
With second row captain's chairs, a family of four can travel quite comfortably with plenty of room for anything they want to take along. Lots of breathing room. Restating: ridiculous third row seating.
Large SUVs are neither cost effective to buy nor operate. You must understand this when entering a relationship with one. Their price tags are often inflated, due to demand, and their cost per mile is much higher than an equally comfortable sedan. But the commanding view of the road is something for which to sacrifice.
"Great SUV , lots of room and power to pull large boats , get the optional Max trailering package , GREAT OPTIONS HEATED STEERING WHEEL ,heated and cooled seats , crash warning ,lane departure warning, does everything well"
"Every time I get in my Tahoe and drive it, I feel very lucky to have such a great SUV. Sometime's I drive it with no place to go, just because it's so nice to drive. Very smooth ride, very sleek look and the price is just right. It feels like a bargain when you compare it to other SUV's the same size."
Really nice cock pit feel for the driver. Everything hugs the driver making the ride feel very high tech and classy.
Beautiful lines, awesome grill, very well done GM.
Smooth ride, a little sluggish off the start but I'm not driving a turbo sports car, I'm driving a full size SUV

Not a vehicle everyone can afford, but the middle class should be fine.
