2017 Maxima SR
"Car is very nice inside and out, the only issue I have is the ride. It’s not as nice as I thought it would be especially in the city. The rear shocks do not absorb very well. I may change them out for something else and see if that helps. I’m getting great gas mileage as I drive 100 miles a day. The heated steering wheel is nice on cold mornings. "

Great car, not worth the price
"Loved the maxima, auto-start feature is amazing. Great interior, big nav screen, nice wheels. Beautiful design. Not worth a $400/mo lease though, no sunroof in the SV package. "

Maximize your ride! Fast and Ferocious
"Gas mileage is as to be expected from a 300 hp V-6, resale value is disappointing but not as bad as my previous 08 BMW 535i. Appearance is terrific as is the interior seems to be finely constructed, engine is superb, and it handles awesome "

Wonderful
"If you’re looking for a good looking, luxurious and fun driving ride... try the Maxima. I have the platinum model and it turns heads everywhere I go. It could use some additional head and trunk room, the the panoramic sunroof is a treasured feature. Especially for those who enjoy the rays from the sun. Very blessed to own this vehicle and you will too. "

The intricacies in the stitching, the quilted seats, and the easy to operate dashboard.
Exterior

Striking appearance in the color of the Corliss Red. The black trim and mirrors set it off. I often get asked “what kind of car is that?
Performance

5.0

It exceeds my expectations, the negative feedback from the CVT engine is a joke. The ride is smooth, transmission is smooth, and the way it jumps into gear is outstanding. You’ll be driving and all of a sudden you’ll be at 85 MPH!
Family

Almost perfect
"I love this car! It’s luxurious, roomy, beautiful, powerful, and fun to drive. Overall, I’m 95% please with the vehicle. However, I have 3 issues with it: First, the driver’s side front windshield column is a little wide. Add to that the driver’s side outside mirror, and you’ve got a wide area of blocked vision, which is especially noticeable when making left turns. If you raise the seat to see over the outside driver’s side mirror, the inside rear view mirror starts to block your vision to dangers that you are approaching to the front right. Explained another way, it’s necessary to elevate the driver’s seat to a perfect position in order to have barely enough horizontal vision to both the left and right. Change the seat’s height up or down just a little and you’re dealing with a serious reduction of your horizontal vision to either the left or right; The second issue not as serious. I find it difficult to find the right tilt for the driver’s side seat bottom. I find there to be inadequate vertical adjustment for either the seat’s front nor back; The third issue is the front passenger chair. It moves forward and rearward just fine, but doesn’t move up or down a fraction of an inch. I find the passenger seat to sit low, which makes exiting the vehicle requiring gymnastic abilities, which with age I’ll soon lose. "

4DSC: Not Sports Car but Spectacular Car
"Nissan likes to market the 8th generation Maxima as a 4DSC (4 Door Sports Car) and while it is quick and sporty compared to its rivals like the Avalon, Cadenza, 300, or the Impala, it isn't quite a sports car. It is however a spectacular car. My Maxima, the SL trim, had everything I was looking for in a car including auto-emergency braking, adaptive cruise, a pano sunroof, Apple Carplay, 300 HP, etc. The car has been incredibly reliable, but then again I only have 40,000 miles at the time of this review but it's still just as new as when I got it. On the back roads, the car can give you lots of fun if you're looking for it. It's quick, and handling is great (especially if you get the SR trim). I wholeheartedly recommend this car to anyone looking for a sedan with some fun to be had."
Interior

5.0

When this car was released it had one of the best interiors you could get, even rivaling some Premium level cars. The buttons are laid out intuitively and the materials are all high quality and stitched leather.
Exterior

5.0

This Maxima stands out on the road and I've gotten multiple complements on it when out and about. Get a trunk decklid spoiler on yours.
Performance

5.0

Lots of fun and really quick on the road. No worries to be had about whether you can pass someone or not.
Family

4.0

Backseat doesn't give the most legroom compared to some others but its a good car to drive a family around in. The safety features as well as the good handling aspects of the car make this a must have sedan.
Cost

4.0

Super reliable for me so far, if you want the best performance, Premium gas is recommended. But other than that, it gets around 31 MPG on the highway and 21 city. Pretty reasonable for a 300 HP large sedan. If you're stingy on gas money then look for a Prius or something.

Sporty
"I have the SR model. It's fast, responsive, very sporty and stylish. The seats and ride are a little stiff if you're not used to sports cars. The interior doesn't have as much storage as I'm used to, coming from the Altima. Sound system is great. i didn't realize premium gas was recommended for these until after I bought it. I usually avoid cars that require premium. Many owners don't use premium and report no ill effects, but I prefer to go with the manufacturer's recommendations."

Great Car
"Great car runs and drives very well, only thing I don’t like are the locks on the door handle, have to press the button to unlock and all doors must be closed to lock the car from the button. That gets annoying if you have passengers. Car is very comfortable for long drives and handling is spot on. Plenty of power on tap from the V6, really wakes up in sport mode."
