John's Tundra
"I have wanted a Tundra for a long time. It was well worth the wait. I love it it drives good and rides good. I wish it got a little better gas mileage but I can't complain too much as it has plenty of pulling power. If I were modifying it, I would make the driver seat ( and passenger seat) a little more comfortable. I would also slant the radio/map screen about 10 degrees toward the driver to reduce glare. Like I said, I love my Tundra and have put 36,000+ miles on it in less than two years. I am a Toyota driver for life."

Outstanding Tundra
"Tightest truck I’ve ever owned. Nearly three years old and not one rattle. Engine and transmission are a perfect match. Vehicle is powerful and very responsive . Great handling truck. "

Looks Great, Feels cheap
"This truck looks great but it feels cheap. The audio system needs some improvements. It sounds like a pair of headphones at high volumes. The acceleration is suspect. The transmission does not feel responsive. Almost has a slipping feel. O understand that it is a truck, but the ride and loud sound is not synonymous with Toyota quality. I think my truck was made in the USA because the Japanese quality is not the same as the Toyota's that I have owned in the past which were made in Japan. "
Interior

3.0

I like the simulated wood but there should have been two strips on the middle console. The seats are nice but they are starting to show wear and I only drive to work during the week.
Exterior

2.0

The truck sits up high and the fender wells swallows the tires. The mix-match bumper system? Not sure what that was for. It looks plain with no fender guards, no side molding and plastic everywhere.
Performance

2.0

The acceleration is slow, the engine revs up when you shift gears from park, and the transmission feels like it is slipping when going up hill or accelerating to pass.
Family

5.0

Plenty of room for the family

Gas mileage is not great but its okay. The 1794 is the top of the line model, so I expected a little more in quality. All in all, its a truck....nothing more

2017 Tundra Limited 4X4
"This is my second Tundra the first being an SR5. The Limited edition provides an upgraded interior including leather seating, power seats and upgraded controls and radio systems. I put over 100K issue free miles on the first Tundra but wanted the upgrades available on the Limited. Trade in value on the SR5 was a pleasant surprise. This truck tows a heavy 22 foot boat without knowing it's there. The only item missing on the 2017 that I would like to have is adaptive cruise control. Highly recommend the Tundra."
Interior

Huge cabin. Very comfortable seating. Controls are easy to use.
Exterior

Nicely finished, clean lines, great paint and trim.
Performance

5.0

This truck is quick with plenty of passing power when you need it. Tows heavy trailers without knowing they are there.
Family

The massive rear seating area allows comfortable seating for the tallest person you can find. It also provides a large area to carry items you need to keep dry thanks to the fold-up seating.
Cost

4.0

Overall, the Tundra is a terrific purchase for someone who wants a pickup that will do it all. The truck comes pretty with most any option you want based on the trim line. Even the top trim level is reasonably priced. The one minor negative comment might be fuel consumption. My 2WD SR5 averaged a bit over 17 MPH and the 4WD is just over 14 MPH in city driving. This is not an issue to me but may be to others.

Best Truck Ever
"We traded a Lexus RX400h for this truck. We needed a comfortable and spacious passenger cabin. We needed the high level of reliability that Toyota provides. (Our current Lexus ES350 has 335,000 miles and it's like a new car!) This Tundra 1794 Edition truck is all of that and more."

I can't rate the total cost of ownership as high as other same-class trucks since I've only had it 1-1/2 years, but it's been worth it so far.
