Quick acceleration is one of the key strengths of the 2018 Cadillac CT6. The CT6 also provides competitive pricing, expansive feature content and a palatial cabin.
The 2018 Cadillac CT6 is a full-size luxury sedan that seats five. Four trim levels are offered: base, Luxury, Premium Luxury and Platinum. Buyers can choose between rear-wheel drive and all-wheel drive. The CT6 is available as a gas-only model or as a plug-in hybrid.
For the 2018 model year, the CT6 introduces Super Cruise, an optional feature designed to simplify highway travel. Super Cruise combines various active safety technologies, and it allows drivers to safely remove their hands from the wheel in certain driving situations.
The 2018 Cadillac CT6 employs the bold design language that’s become a Cadillac hallmark, and its overall look is blocky, broad and assertive. The car’s distinctively shaped headlights border a premium-looking grille and extend over the front wheel wells. Smooth, slab-like side panels give the CT6 an air of gravitas.
Base models come with body-colored door handles, LED headlights and taillights, daytime running lights, 18-inch wheels, a rear spoiler and heated power-adjustable side mirrors with integrated turn signals. Options include a gesture-controlled trunk, a panoramic sunroof, rain-sensing windshield wipers, illuminating door handles, 19- or 20-inch wheels and an auto-dimming driver-side mirror.
Large sedans usually offer roomy cabins, and the 2018 CT6 is no exception. Both rows of seating provide legroom that will be comfortable even for taller passengers. The car’s interior design is extravagantly deluxe. The handsome center stack mimics the angled lines of the car’s exterior, and the materials used throughout the cabin are first-rate all the way. In back, the trunk provides up to 15.3 cubic feet of capacity.
Standard amenities include dual-zone automatic climate control, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, 14-way power-adjustable front seats, leather upholstery and a power-adjustable tilt-and-telescoping steering column. Optional equipment includes heated and ventilated front seats, heated rear seats, four-zone automatic climate control and a heated steering wheel.
CT6 drivers enjoy vigorous acceleration, and this Cadillac shines as one of the quickest cars in its segment. Rear-wheel drive is standard, and all-wheel drive is available.
Two powertrains are offered. Gas-only models come with a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine good for 265 horsepower and 295 pound-feet of torque, and this is paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission. The plug-in hybrid utilizes a gas-electric hybrid powertrain to generate a combined output of 335 horsepower and 432 pound-feet of torque. The hybrid is governed by an electric variable transmission.
Gas-only CT6 sedans achieve EPA-rated fuel economy of up to 22/30 mpg city/highway. The plug-in hybrid can travel for up to 31 miles using just electric energy. With the electric motor in use, the CT6 hybrid achieves combined mileage of 62 MPGe combined. With just the gas engine in play, the hybrid’s mileage stands at 25 mpg combined.
The 2018 CT6 offers a leading-edge range of tech features. Base models are equipped with satellite radio, a rearview camera, a wireless device charger, Bluetooth connectivity, Apple CarPlay/Android Auto smartphone integration, mobile Wi-Fi, USB ports and an eight-speaker Bose sound system.
Optional equipment includes navigation, forward collision mitigation, lane keeping assist, rear cross-traffic alert, a blind-spot warning system, adaptive cruise control, a night-vision camera system and Cadillac’s Super Cruise technology.

"Nothing I do not like about my new ride. Performance is amazing. The apple integration is clean and works without issues. The only problem I had was with SiriusXM and its integration. Canceled the XM service.
The car locked up with my dog in it and Onstar did an unlock remote. GREAT.
