All good except MPGs
"I love how this car drives. The engine is very powerful and smooth and is certainly the best CVT subie I've had (previous outback and forester). Lots of room for the kids and dog. 3rd row is tight as with all others in its class. Only real complaint is the all round mpgs are about 2 under the govt rating."

Perfect!
"We purchased a Touring trim model at the end of 2018 and have been more than pleased so far. In the 6 months we have owned it, we have put over 11,000 miles on it going back and forth across the US. For our family of 5, it is a perfect road trip vehicle. The Ascent has an extremely smooth ride and very comfy seats. There is plenty of room as long as we don’t go too crazy with the luggage. We do have a topper for our long road trips to help eliminate some of the interior clutter that comes with a few weeks on the road. I think the only thing that could use some work is the infotainment center. There is an issue that the vehicle switches between plugged-in phones when the vehicle is turned off - like it cant remember the last settings. Also, there are issues with the Apple CarPlay where Pandora sometimes doesn’t want to work on my phone (6s) and it never works on my wife’s phone (XS Max). We have driven in snow, sand, heavy winds and rain, I’ve even done some minor off-roading, and the Ascent has never let us down. I’m perfectly pleased with this vehicle and hope to have it in our family for as long as it can stay on the road - this is not a vehicle I’m planning on trading in."

Comfy seats, love the 7-passenger option. Color (brown leather on Touring), fit and finish are superb.

This is a vehicle that I still love to see driving down the road. It’s not flashy, it’s just a great-looking vehicle.

Best ride of any vehicle I’ve ever owned (traded an Acura RDX on the Ascent). Not the fastest vehicle, but it’s not meant to be. It does not hesitate when accelerating to pass and it perfect at highway speeds. No turbo lag that Ive noticed. Off-road capabilities are excellent for something that is not designed to be driven off-road.

Captain chairs make it easy to get in the 3rd row. But only small adults (or children) can sit on the 3rd row
