Kia K900 Reviews

Introduced for 2015, the Kia K900 is the largest and most expensive model in this Korean manufacturer’s expanding product line. This model is underpinned by the same platform as the Hyundai Equus.

The Kia K900 seats five and is offered in two trim levels: Premium and Luxury. Rear-wheel drive is standard across the product line. Both editions are powered by a 420-horsepower, 5.0-liter V8 engine paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission. This model gets an EPA-estimated 15/23 mpg city/highway and takes premium grade gasoline.

All K900 models are outfitted with power-folding heated side mirrors, chrome wheels, LED turn signal indicators, heated rear glass, LED daytime running lights and fog lights. The Luxury edition adds a chrome grille and adaptive headlights.

A 14-speaker audio system is standard with the Premium edition; a 17-speaker Lexicon audio system is found in the Luxury edition. All models are packed with keyless entry, push-button start, leather seats, power front seats, heated and ventilated front seats, a power tilt and telescopic steering column, three-zone climate control, a power trunk, rear door window sunshades, a power-operated rear window sunshade, two 12-volt outlets and a USB charging port.

The Luxury edition adds a heated steering wheel, genuine wood accents, upgraded leather trim and a premium headliner. Optionally, this edition offers power-reclining split rear seats, ventilated rear seats, power adjustable front headrests and an extendable driver’s seat cushion.

The Kia K900 comes equipped with the usual safety features. A head-up display and a 360-degree, surround-view monitor system are also available.

Total cargo volume measures 15.9 cubic feet. There is 110.8 cubic feet of passenger volume.

Besides the Hyundai Equus, the Kia K900 may be cross shopped with the Audi A8, BMW 7 Series, Lexus LS and Mercedes-Benz S-Class. Pricewise the Kia K900 is closer to the Cadillac CTS, Audi A6, Mercedes-Benz E-Class and BMW 5 Series.
